Sedona

With forests in one direction and red rock formations in the other, Sedona is famous for its killer arts scene and soul-healing energy. That’s right: Sedona draws tons of tourists each year who believe the city’s tree-twisting vortexes (like Sedona Crystal Vortex and Cathedral Rock Vortex) are full of spiritual energy conducive to prayer and meditation.

Healing vibes aside, there’s a ton to love about this Arizonan city – like Exposures International Gallery of Fine Art, where you’ll find works from artists around the country from southwestern oil paintings to sculptures inspired by 13th century pictographs. And with a quick trip just outside the city, you can strip down and soak in Verde Hot Springs, located in the remnants of a burnt down hotel.

Make Rancho Sedona Rv Park your home base in this city of red sandstone and spend the winter stretching out under Sycamore and Cotton trees next to Oak Creek. Be sure to pack warm clothes: winter nights in Sedona can dip into chilly temperatures.

Grand Canyon

For most, the Grand Canyon conjures images of mule rides and thigh-burning hikes. But the Big Ditch offers much in the way of art: the Grand Canyon Village is home to cultural hotspots like Kolb Studio, the former residence of the brothers responsible for some of the most iconic early photographs of the canyon itself and Hopi House, a hundred year old building designed to mimic Native American adobe architecture where you’ll find Native American crafts and jewelry on the first floor and artifacts on the second.

Camp on the edge of the canyon at Trailer Village, where you can be fully hooked-up all winter long, giving you maximum time for donkey-riding, helicopter-touring and art-browsing.

Tucson

Pay attention, cowboys: the Fiesta de los Vaqueros, a nine-day celebration of one of America’s favorite rodeos, goes down every February in Tucson, making this city the perfect winter destination for the rootin’ and tootin’.

When visiting Tucson, consider taking in a rodeo show.

When you’re not twirling your ten-gallons, soak your winter blues away in a bubbling hot spring with views of Mount Graham at Roper Lake State Park.

Pull in and hook up at Tucson / Lazydays KOA and prepare yourself for a winter full of movie nights and happy hours at the Desert Oasis Cantina.
